MiniRoos 6 - 12 yrs
Virginia United FC proudly had 74 girls and boys Teams in MiniRoos represent the club in 2025 and we looked to continue to provide this number for 2026.
These teams will range from U6 - U12's (age you are turning in the calendar year). Our U6-U7 competition is played internally at Virginia United Football Club, while our U8-U12's team play both home and away games.
Our U8 to U12 teams are ranked beginner, intermediate & experienced (Kangaroo, Quokka & Wallaby) to ensure players and teams play against like for like skilled opponents on a weekly basis.
The season runs in Term 2 and Term 3 and breaks over the school holidays.
U6-U7 Fixtures
Fixtures for 2026 will be updated and displayed here prior to the commencement of the 2026 season.
U6-U7 Fact Sheet
- Players can request to play with friends. This must be noted in the appropriate section of the registration form.
- We cannot guarantee all friend requests but do try our best.
- 6 players (4 on the field) per match day for U6's.
- 6 players (4 on the field) per match day for U7's.
- Season organising commences in January and is finalised in March. You will be sent an email in March advising of your team, training day and time.
- Your training schedule can be found in 2026 Registrations tab - this is a DRAFT prior to season commencement and days and times can change depending on team numbers and coach availability.
- You will meet your team and have a training session toward the end of Term 1.
- Games will commence at the start of Term 2 and run through to the end of Term 3.
- 18 games will be completed in an internally run competition at Virginia United FC.
- Approximately 20 training sessions are completed by our club coaching staff in POD sessions once a week.
- Games for both age groups are held on a Friday evening (early) Saturday with either 8am or 9am kick off (1 hour approximately).
- No games or training occur during the school holidays.
- The season concludes at the end of Term 3.
U8-U12 Fact Sheet
- New players are placed according to available places and grading results (you will be advised by email if your child is required to trial).
- There are 10 players per squad for U8 | U9
- There are 12 players per squad for U10 | U11 | U12
- Season organising commences in February and is finalised in March. You will be sent an email in March advising of your team, training day and time.
- Your training schedule can be found in 2026 Registrations tab - this is a DRAFT prior to season commencement and days and times can change depending on team numbers and coach availability.
- You will meet your team and have a training session toward the end of Term 1.
- Games will commence at the start of Term 2 and run through to the end of Term 3.
- There are 18 rounds per the Football Queensland Competition.
- Approximately 20 training sessions occur over the calendar season.
- U8-U12 teams are coached by an appointed volunteer/parent coach and train once a week.
- Games are generally Saturday morning, both home and away venues.
- No games or training occur during the school holidays.
- The season concludes at the end of Term 3.
- Season fixtures are completed by Football Queensland and usually released in the Term 1 holidays.
