About Us

Virginia United Football Club has been part of the Nundah community since 1970. More than 55 years on, we are a club in genuine transformation - investing in people, facilities, and a way of developing players that we believe is the best in Queensland.

We are based at Albert Bishop Park, 574 Nudgee Road, Nundah. We are a Football Queensland Silver-rated club. We were named Football Brisbane Club of the Year in 2019. And in 2026, we are building something that goes well beyond any award.

Who We Are

Virginia United FC is a community football club that takes development seriously. We have over 86 teams across all ages and competitions - from three-year-olds in our Squirts program to senior players competing in FQPL. We have 344 female players, growing year on year. We run programs that span the full player pathway from first kick to premier league.

We are the Reds. We are built from the ground up - by volunteers, coaches, families, and a staff team that believes this club can be something special for Brisbane's north.

Our Mission, Vision, and Values

Mission

Create football players who are adaptive problem solvers and creative decision-makers within relational team environments.

Vision

Be the best developer of football talent in Queensland through an evidence-based coaching approach and coach craft knowledge.

Purpose

Be the heartbeat of football in Brisbane.

Our Values

Integrity - we say what is true, including when it is hard

Respect - on the pitch, in the stands, and in the office

Leadership - we hold ourselves to a high standard and bring others with us

Diligence - we do the work, consistently and without shortcuts

Perseverance - we stay the course when it matters

Our Four Pillars

Everything we do at Virginia United FC sits within one of four pillars.

Community

We are a club for everyone in our suburb and beyond. From Squirts to Over 45s, we offer a home for every player who wants to be part of the Reds. We run programs, events, and initiatives that connect families to the game and to each other.

Pathways

We believe every player deserves a clear pathway. From MiniRoos through to FQPL, we have connected programs at every level of the game. Players can move between community and elite pathways as they grow. There are no gates and no wrong answers.

Coaching

We take coaching seriously. Our FQA program is led by qualified, contracted coaches including a Pro Diploma mentor - the highest qualification available in Australia. We are investing in coach development at every level of the club, from grassroots courses for volunteers through to formal diploma pathways.

Governance

Virginia United FC is run by a board and management team committed to transparency, financial responsibility, and doing right by our members. We are an incorporated association operating in accordance with Football Queensland standards as an FQ Silver-rated club.
