Virginia United FC Achieves 2 Star Club Changer Status

Virginia United FC has been awarded 2 Star status in Football Australia's Club Changer program, the top tier of recognition available to community football clubs in Australia. 

The program independently assesses clubs across safeguarding, governance, female participation and community engagement, and this places VUFC among a select group of clubs across Queensland to reach this level. 

The achievement reflects years of effort from the club's committee, coaching staff, volunteers and families, and strengthens VUFC's standing with Football Australia and Football Queensland for future grants and partnerships. 


What the recognition covers:
Safeguarding: our policies and practices for protecting every player, coach and volunteer at the club. Governance: the systems and structures that keep VUFC accountable, transparent and well run. 
Female participation: our ongoing commitment to growing opportunities for girls and women in football, from grassroots through to our FQA Academy programs. 
Community engagement: the role VUFC plays as a hub for the Virginia and wider Brisbane community, well beyond the football pitch.

This status doesn't come from one person or one program. It is the result of years of effort from our committee, coaching staff, volunteers and families, and it is recognition that Virginia United is being run the right way. 

Virginia United FC will proudly display the 2 Star Club Changer badge across the website, socials and club materials in the coming weeks.

2027 FQA Expressions of Interest, now open

Community and ASP players ready to step into the Football Queensland Academy pathway, this one's for you. Rather than an open trial, we're running an internal process this off-season, video review, in-season observation, and internal assessment for our junior age groups, to give our own players a genuine look. Squirts Little Reds, Term 3 now open

Term 3 is here and so is a new chapter for our early years program. Squirts is now Squirts Little Reds, a name that reflects where every little one is headed as part of the Virginia United family. Same great Saturday mornings, same coaches, same love of football. Register now for the 18 July start.

Introducing Reds Elite Training

We are excited to launch Reds Elite Training, our new dedicated development program for community players who want more than just the weekly game. Led by FQA Junior TD Ellis Shaw and overseen by Stuart Kelly, Reds Elite offers Skills Clinics, GK Training and more across Term 2. Small groups, qualified coaches, Academy standards.
