Full calendar

Over 35's / O45's Men

Our Masters Football Programme currently covers Men's Over 35s & Over 45s, providing a competitive yet relaxed & social environment for men turning 35 or more in this calendar year.

The Virginia Over 35/45s Men's teams are an integral part of the VUFC community, with a few of these players serving in committee positions. Several of our players also coach junior and senior teams and volunteer around the club, and many are parents of younger players within the club.

VUFC currently field 4 teams in Over 35's Div1,Div3 and Div 5 and 2 Over 45's teams in Div1 and Div 3

We play in a Northside based league, with games primarily on Friday nights , with the season running from the 3rd week of March (training starts mid/late Feb) through to the beginning of September (with the possibility of Finals around this time) with breaks during school holidays.

Games are 40 minutes per half with a paid referee (covered in rego fees). A typical regular season has 18 matches home and away, plus the potential for pre-season matches and tournaments , as well as finals after the regular season.

The rules vary slightly from standard FIFA rules : unlimited substitutions and players must stay on their feet (no slide tackles).

Places are limited, especially in the social sides, so please ensure you register your interest by the end of Jan (any time later than that is best efforts basis) so we can find a place for you based on available open spots, fitness, cultural fit and ability.

Note: new players should not register unless agreed beforehand of a team placement.

The comp motto is "football with mates" , so we look to embody that ethos in our playing group whilst playing to the best of our abilities. The expectation is we wear the Red jersey with pride whilst championing VUFC's values and cultural aspirations.
