2024 - Senior Women FQPL1 & U23s

The club is delighted to be competing in the Women's Football Queensland Premier League 1 in 2024. The club will be entering a U23 and Senior squad for this competition.

Training for first grade and U23's is Monday and Wednesday evenings.

With a strong female program from our junior program through to our senior women, The Reds will be looking to secure promotion into the Women's NPL for 2025. If you are looking for an ambitious club with a great community feel then express your interest or contact the Head Coach direct.

VUFC is pleased to announce the return of Michael as its Senior Women’s Head Coach for 2024. Michael has over 20 years of coaching experience and a distinguished resume including NPL Women’s Head Coaching and Technical Director roles at Peninsula Power, Gold Coast United and Easts. Michael’s qualifications include an A License and being awarded the 2017 NPLW Coach of the Year while leading Power to the NPL Women’s Premiership that year.

President Brad Harbeck said “The appointment of Michael brings to the club a wealth of experience from the NPLW and his distinguished coaching career, qualifications and passion for Women’s football is the perfect fit to lead VUFC into a new and exciting era for Female Football at VUFC”

In speaking of his appointment, Michael said " I am delighted to be taking the role as the Senior Women's Head Coach for the 2023 season at VUFC. I am impressed by the club's commitment to, and ambition with, their Female Football program. Having dedicated my coaching career to Women's Football, this was a vital factor in me deciding to take the role.”

VUFC is pleased to announce the return of Jack Gynther as its U23's FQPL Women's coach for the 2024 season. Jack is an exciting young coach with a passion for female football. In 2023 Jack took our FQPL1 U23's team to 2nd place and were runners up in the Grand Final. Jack's achievements have seen him recognised as the 2022 FQPL3 Women's Coach of the Year. Jack's role has a strong focus on youth development and readying players for first grade which will see him coach the Under 23s and connect with our Girls Youth Academy Coaches, providing a direct pathway into the season women's program.
